Deadline of HWs and ECs, Final Exam and Class Project: JANUARY 15, 2019
Points Breakdown
There are four homeworks worth 30 points each and four extra credits worth 30 points each in each lesson. In addition, there is a final exam worth 30 points and a class project worth 30 points as well. All in all, you can earn 300 points in taking this class.
To Earn a Quill
To earn a quill in this class, you must submit at least HW3 AND HW4 AND earn at least 150 points or an A (Acceptable). The Extra Credits are voluntary requirements but it is a venue for you to earn more points to pass the subject and help your house as well. Here is the grading system that we will be using for this class:
Class Awards
Yes, you can earn at most three awards in this class. They are:
- Remember to put your HOL Name and your HOL House in the body of the requirement that you will be passing.
- When turning in requirements in the class, type in the subject line BMC – HW#/EC#/Exam/Project. For example, if I will turn in homework number 3, I would type: BMC – HW3.
- You can send your requirements to the class email [email protected].
- There will be one due date in this class for this term, JANUARY 15, 2019! All the the requirements must be passed before the term ends.
- There will be no extension requests for this class since the deadline is the end of the term, January 15.
- All HOL rules apply for this class. Read the handbook to know all these.

- Exceeds Expectations (E): 200 – 249 HP
- Acceptable (A): 150 – 199 HP
- Poor (P): 100 – 149 HP
- Dreadful (D): 50 – 99 HP
- Troll (T): 0 – 49 HP
Class Awards
Yes, you can earn at most three awards in this class. They are:
- The Elias Grimstone Award: Given to students who managed to get O in the class.
- The Gladys Boothby Award: Given to students who got the highest number of points in the class.
- The Leonard Jewkes Award: Given to students who got my attention by giving me creative requirements and in any other good way possible.
