Lesson 3
HW - Short Essay
When it comes to choosing if I want to be a part of a current broom manufacturing company or working solo, I lean more into working with other people. There are too many struggles working on your own when it comes to producing brooms. It’s even tougher in creating your own company. There are so many factors when it comes to running your own place. I see a lot more benefits in joining a current broom manufacturing company. It also comes down to being a team player, in which, I’m all about.
Now to breaking down the facts about the broom. The broomstick’s main purpose is for speed. For this reason, I want this broom to be meant for Quidditch and as an advantage to those individuals who like making longs journeys. The speed of the broom will be designed to go a hundred miles per hour (mph), max! With the material, the handle is made out mahogany wood with the twigs of birch.
I’m sure you’re asking to why I would use such a combination. Using these trees as the handle and twigs of this new broom, I think back to my ‘Wand-Making’ class. Birch stands for ‘new beginnings, cleansing of one’s past, and vision quests’ and Mahogany is ‘longevity.’ Bringing the symbolism of these woods up, I think of these symbols as meaning in helping a person achieve something within their life on their quests or playing in a Quidditch match.
In addition, there will be a few features added, other than the Cushioning Charm. The broom will have an Anti-Burglar Buzzer and a Braking Charm; both of these as a must! The Buzzer comes in handy because I want the broom to be reliable to Quidditch players and other magical folk who want to take long quests. ‘Expect the unexpected.’ The Braking Charm is another necessary to help players make quick stops or in case something spots travelers’ eyes. I don’t want this charm to be permanent because not everything can go as perfectly planned.
With all of this said, the name of this newly furnished broomstick is ‘The Fiery Quest.’ In the ‘fiery’ part, it comes to my mind that this broom is a relative to the Firebolt. The ‘quest’ is part of the meaning woods used to make this broom. As mentioned before, I think of this broom suited for a traveler or Quidditch. A traveler or member of Quidditch as some sort of quest/goal within his or her mind when it comes to a new game or adventure.
