HW - Art Project and Short Essay
Here is the first version of the Astraddle 9! As you can see the oak/ash blend has been covered with a black finish to give it a sleek look with blue detailing on the side. It has been labelled with the name of the broom. You might have also noticed that it says "K Edition." This stands for "Kyrie Edition" since it was especially made for me. Then you can see the three buttons at the front. The first button, the blue one, is the practice mode that I mentioned previously. The bronze button is the game mode button. The white button is my special feature! When I press it, the broom expands to include a small bed and pillow so when I decide RQT needs overnight quidditch practices, I can captain them in comfort!

Introducing the Windbreaker - the only broom able to successfully 'brake' out of a Wronski Feint! Not only does the Windbreaker have the most highly dependable brake, but it also can change speed and direction without much effort from its rider. Each Windbreaker is individualized to the specific broom rider. The broomstick is adjusted to enhance both the agility and the balance of the rider. Since the Windbreaker is so highly individualized, a stolen Windbreaker is essentially useless to the thief. The Windbreaker will only fly properly for its owner. Should a Windbreaker be passed on to another rider, it is recommended to get the broomstick re-calibrated. Everyone who requests a Windbreaker gets to select a broom handle made from the finest mahogany varieties in the world. The birch tail twigs are thin enough to adjust to any type of wind. They even double as a quick remedy to hits by bludgers. Simply snap a birch twig off and chomp on it to reduce pain. Designed by a seeker for seekers, the Windbreaker is a must-have for all members of the snitch-loving community.

My broom is called The Merc. This is an awesome broom, a broom able to change the shape of broomsticks to come. No more will witches fly into danger every time they mount their broomstick to go someplace. The name will be reminiscent of the Muggle car, without actually saying anything that connection will be made. There will be the potential to alter the broomstick in little ways to allow for 2 passengers, to allow for flights of several thousand miles, to allow for the fulfillment of every witch and wizard to own one. It will never be outdated and it will outlast all the Firebolts and Nimbus brooms currently in use by hundreds of years.

The broomstick above, known as Crystal Chariot, is made of fine oak wood and birch twigs. It's handle is designed specifically to be able to support four to five people, while the twigs are designed to provide the broom better acceleration in the air. In addition, the quality oak along with the quality twigs, will let the broom both handle heights better, thus allowing it to fly higher, and to survive various weather conditions. The main purpose of the broom, beside carrying more than one person, is to fly longer and safer while providing comfort for the riders.
The Crystal Chariot comes with two fancy charms - a cushioning one, so your butt doesn't get sore from all the flying, and an invisibility charm so that you don't worry about the muggles seeing you. Plus, if you ever come across a threat like dragons or other dangerous creatures, you don't have to panic - just use its invisibility feature! Its colors and fine carving are there to give the broomstick style - a family broom is not just one that rides safely and can carry the whole family, but also one that you won't be ashamed to let the rest of the world see. You no longer have to hide your broom, you can show it off now!
